It may have taken him months to admit to killing his dog, but David Eason is tired of hearing about it. On Monday, November 25, the Teen Mom 2 alum clapped back at a fan who brought up the altercation. After the father of three shared a photo of him with one of his goats, one of his followers took the opportunity to hint he shouldn’t be around animals. The comment didn’t exactly go over well.

“This is Maaary,” David, 31, captioned a photo of him with the farm animal. “She’s a sweetheart.” But one of his followers wasn’t impressed. “You killed a dog. ‘Nuff said,” they commented in response. Though the former MTV star confessed to shooting Nugget, the family’s French bulldog, in September, he still took the opportunity to clap back. “So did your veterinarian,” he wrote.

The clap back mirrored what David had to say months earlier when he seemingly compared himself to a medical professional by claiming he “euthanized” the pup instead of simply saying he shot it. “The dog was aggressive,” he told People. “Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. … If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”

Citing laws that dogs who bite people can be put down, he continued, “I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself. … This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do.” Though Jenelle, 27, stood by her now estranged husband at the time — and even said the incident made their marriage “stronger than ever” — she has since cited it as one of the reasons she asked a court to grant her a temporary restraining order against David.

According to the documents obtained by Us Weekly, she wrote in the paperwork, “David was very angry and responded by taking out his gun and shooting the dog to death. … This incident led to our children being temporarily removed from our home by CPS.” On November 25, a judge upheld that order of protection and extended it for an additional two weeks until the couple’s next court date. The restraining order hasn’t stopped the famous father from lashing out at his ex, however. “Glad [you] people think I am taking this so hard,” he wrote on November 19. “Just so [you] all know, I am so very much happier and so is [my daughter] Maryssa. Finally peaceful.”
