ExclusiveChrishell Stause ‘Felt Stabbed in the Heart’ After Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas Went IG Official
Deeply hurt. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause “felt stabbed in the heart” when she “found out for sure” estranged husband Justin Hartley and new girlfriend Sofia Pernas were “hooking up,” a source exclusively tells In Touch.
“Justin twisted the knife even deeper by making their relationship Instagram official,” the insider continues. “She had her suspicions that something was going on between Justin and Sofia before they went public and is still trying to put the pieces together and figure out the truth.”
Justin, 43, filed for divorce from Chrishell, 39, in November 2019 citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The exes broke up after only two years of marriage, but they had been together since 2013.
The brunette beauty appeared to be blindsided by Justin’s decision. On season 3 of Selling Sunset, she revealed he sent her a “text” informing her he had filed for divorce. Just 45 minutes later, “the world knew,” Chrishell said on the show. “I’m trying to keep it together. It’s a lot at once because everyone in the whole world knows at the same time that I knew … Have you ever been knocked over by a wave and you don’t know what way to swim to get up?” she said to costar Mary Fitzgerald.
Just six months after Justin filed for divorce, Us Weekly confirmed he is dating his former The Young and the Restless costar. In May, Justin and Sofia were spotted sharing a kiss after she dropped him off at a doctor’s appointment in Los Angeles, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
On August 9, Sofia posted a cryptic photo of a man with a baseball cap beside him on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Easy like Sunday mornin’.” Justin seemingly confirmed he was the man in the picture by sharing his own snapshot wearing the baseball cap with a nearly identical caption as Sofia’s.
Following the news of Justin’s new relationship, Chrishell has been “liking” some very telling tweets, hinting that the This Is Us star might have cheated on her with Sofia, 31. “@Justinhartley filmed a move in Canada at the same time his new girlfriend @SofiaPernas was filming the summer before they split. The timing seems like he probably cheated on @Chrishell7 and took a coward’s way out to avoid spousal support and gaslight her,” read one of the many cryptic tweets the soap opera star “liked.”
On Tuesday, August 11, Justin’s ex-wife Lindsay Korman-Hartley came to his defense amid the cheating allegations. In a tribute via Instagram, she called him an “exemplification of a solid man.”
