In the same room as your ex? Apparently, Blake Shelton doesn’t mind! During Miranda Lambert’s performance at the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards, the blonde beauty seemingly shaded her former husband when she declared that she was happy to “get the hell out of Oklahoma,” where she once lived with Blake. One day later on April 8, a source exclusively revealed to In Touch that Blake and his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, don’t even pay attention to Miranda.
“In truth, Blake and Gwen just laugh it off. They don’t even care about Miranda,” the insider explained. “They were loved up and happy and having fun, and Gwen looked gorgeous as usual. Blake is always treated like a king at these events and with Gwen on his arm he feels like the luckiest guy in the room.”
Blake and Miranda were married for four years before they went their separate ways in July 2015. Since then, the “I Lived It” singer found love with the No Doubt rocker, 49. Miranda was in a couple of serious relationships over the past few years, but she finally found love with NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin.
The Voice alums were apparently not even in the same room when the Grammy winner, 35, brought the house down with her three breakup anthems — “Litte Red Wagon,” “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Kerosene.”
“The ultimate show of disrespect was that Blake and Gwen walked out before Miranda’s performance,” the source continued. “They couldn’t even be bothered to stick around. Meanwhile, Miranda stood and clapped for Blake after he sang!”
The Texas native made her first red carpet appearance with her hubby earlier that same night, but apparently, Miranda thought everyone would be paying more attention to her. “Miranda thought it would be her big night,” the insider said. “She wanted to feel confident and step out on stage looking and feeling great. Strutting the red carpet with her hot new husband for the first time, all eyes on her. But of course, that’s not how it happened. She feels like she will always be in Blake and Gwen’s shadow.”
However, many of her fans loved when Miranda took the stage. “Miranda’s performance was extra sassy and I’m here for it,” someone quipped while another fan agreed, “Miranda Lambert is officially body and sass goals.”
