OMFG, Apparently Abbie Burnett’s Nickname For John David Duggar Is ‘Sugar Muffin’
We have to admit, this is kind of sweet! Apparently, Abbie Burnett‘s nickname for John David Duggar is “sugar muffin,” if footage from their wedding is a good indicator of the pet names the couple uses on each other. Abbie called her new hubby that during their vows, and it’s at least something different than the usual Duggar spouse nickname of “Babe,” right?
On Nov. 3, John and Abbie were married, but new details about the special occasion are just coming out now, thanks to a video TLC shared from the ceremony. There are just two clips from the event on the network’s website so far, but they’ve already told us so much about this couple and what their wedding day was like.
The entirety of John and Abbie’s vows are now up on TLC’s website, and they’re honestly very sweet. The couple appears to actually be into each other, and legitimately seem eager to spend the rest of their lives together. Some of the other Duggar weddings have been a little awkward, so the show of affection in the form of nicknames like “sugar muffin” and John’s show of kissing Abbie on the cheeks and forehead before going in for the big smooch on the lips is a very nice change of pace.
In fact, Abbie said after she and John got married that her two favorite moments from the day were “the opening song, just welcoming in God’s presence, and John’s tender kiss at the end.” Guess she was a fan of the change of pace too, since the Duggar kids are notorious for not kissing their spouses until they get to the altar!
Counting On fans don’t know a whole lot about Abbie yet, since her courtship with John hasn’t been featured on the show. But a nickname like “sugar muffin” for her man does indicate that John’s new wife has a little bit of personality, which is sorely needed in a family where it’s easy to get lost in a sea of kids, grandkids, and spouses. Good luck, you crazy kids!
