John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett Tie The Knot After 3-Month Engagement: “It Was A Beautiful Moment”
Wedding bells are ringing on Nov. 3! John-David Duggar officially married his sweetheart Abbie Grace Burnett on Saturday, the family announced. The 28-year-old and his beautiful bride told Us Weekly how beyond happy they are after the big day.
“We are so excited to be married!” they gushed. “It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us. Most of all we are thankful to Christ for bringing us together. This is going to be an amazing journey!”
On the Duggar family website, the couples’ loved ones sent their support for the union. “We are overjoyed for the two of them to begin their married life together,” said the announcement. “We know the Lord has brought them together and will use them to reach many people. We are so happy to be surrounded by family and friends and we thank you all for your prayers and support for John and Abbie!”
The duo only announced they were courting back in June, but we had a feeling it was much more serious than your average courtship when they created a joint Instagram account — something most Duggar family couples reserve for marriage or engagement. One month later in July, they announced that they were engaged. The wedding date has been kept a secret, and fans were thrilled to hear the exciting news on Nov. 3.
“I’m happy for them. May God bless them with many many years of happy matrimony!” said one fan on Instagram. Another chimed in to say, ” I’ve never seen him so happy. On the last episode of the season when he introduced her he was positively giddy. Something I’ve never seen from John David. Couldn’t be happier for them!” Congratulations to the happy couple!
