She’s back in the hospital! Ever since we first met 90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Martson on the show, she’s been dealing with a whole host of health issues, and she’s ended up needing professional care more than a few times. Now, according to her husband, Jay Smith, it seems she’s having a particularly rough time once more. Check out the gallery to see how she’s doing lately in an update from her man.

Ashley’s been dealing with some serious stuff lately.

In January, the star opened up about preparing for surgery that she needed thanks to her health complications. “I will no longer be doing any new promos, endorsements, cameos, or any PR as of Feb 8,” she shared online.

She needed time to focus on herself.

Instead of working, she was dedicating herself to taking care of her “health, family and recovery.” And it wasn’t her only recent surgery. Earlier in the month, she’s also undergone a procedure related to her kidney failure.

She’s been dealing with personal drama, too.

In addition to Jay’s cheating scandal in the show, Ashley also filed and then withdrew divorce paperwork, stirring up rumors about the status of her relationship with Jay.

But it turns out the couple is still going strong.

When they stepped out in New York in early February, they were all smiles — and they later admitted that they filmed and subsequently quit their 90 Day Fiancé spinoff show, Happily Ever After?

Apparently, they were tired of faking the drama.

“When our story started to become inconsistent because of what we were being asked to hide and not tell followers,” it was the final straw, Ashley said. “I stayed by his side after the Tinder scandal,” she revealed. “They wanted us to keep everything private and say we weren’t together.”

But that’s the only thing they were faking.

According to Ashley, her health struggles are 100 percent real — and though she may have agreed to go along with TLC‘s storylines about her marriage, her lupus battle isn’t for show.

The star’s been in the hospital plenty.

And when a recent Instagram troll accused her of exaggerating her issues, she wasn’t having any of it. She even showed her medical records to prove she was telling the truth. “For those of you who want to see 2014. This is my HISTORY so everything will be on it,” said the 32-year-old. “Medical records can’t be faked.”

And now, Ashley needed another trip to the hospital.

Her husband Jay is the one who gave fans an update. After revealing that the couple never actually split up, he seems to have been by her side this whole time.

“6 days straight in the hospital,” he said.

The 19-year-old posted a video of his wife in her hospital bed, adjusting her pillow as he asked her if she was having any pain. Seemingly too worn out to respond, Ashley just settled back into place to get comfortable.

Of course, Jay’s been by her side before.

And Ashley’s admitted in the past that he’s a great caretaker. “He’s always there for me,” she told a fan during an Instagram Q&A, sharing a photo of Jay holding her hand in a photo that he’d captioned, “Now you never have to lay in the hospital alone ever again.”

He’s been more than just a supportive husband.

In addition to being by her side and helping take care of her kids, Ashley’s also entertained the idea of him becoming a dad one day. Though she had a hysterectomy, she revealed she’d frozen some of her eggs, and if Jay came around, she’d like to have more kids.

For now, though, they’ve got plenty on their plate.

And taking care of Ashley’s health is hard enough. “It’s a daily struggle,” she’s said in the past. “I am just taking it a day at a time. Unfortunately, the hospital sees me a lot.”

Hopefully, she gets to go home soon.

After six straight days in the hospital, we’re sure that the star misses her own bed — not to mention getting to have some private time with her husband now that they can publicly be together.

Recently, they stepped out in New York for Fashion Week.

The two seemed to have a blast on their mini-vacation as Ashley was feeling strong and healthy. Once she recovers again, hopefully they will have even more adventures together.
