‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Juliana Custodio Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 1 With Ben Obscura
Congrats! 90 Day Fiancé star Juliana Custodio gave birth, welcomed baby No. 1 — a boy! — with boyfriend Ben Obscura.
“All my friends that have known me for years know how much I waited for this moment, to have my own child, it was my biggest dream to become a mother,” Juliana, 23, wrote in her announcement via Instagram on Tuesday, July 19. “Today was the most incredible amazing day of our life’s, I’m such a lucky woman for having you @ben_obscura in my life, an amazing father and husband to be. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and father to my child, you have been what I expected and more.”
She continued, “I can’t describe the feeling of finally having my baby in my arms and finally feel that I am a mother. With all those feelings comes the fears too. Now it’s time to learn and grow with this little one. This is beyond a dream come true, I’m so blessed with this beautiful family I have. I can’t thank enough all the support I have been having.”
The reality TV alum revealed her son’s name is Benjamin James Louis. He was born weighing in at 4.280kg and 55cm long. She said she had a “normal” labor with “no epidural” and that her baby boy had arrived earlier that morning.
Juliana’s 90 Day Fiancé costars were quick to flood the comment section to celebrate the newest baby added to the TLC franchise. “Congratulations and best of health and happiness,” David Toborowsky wrote. Yara Durfren added, “Omg, congratulations 🎉🎊.”
The pair first announced the exciting baby news in November 2021. “Baby on the way! [red heart emoji] A new adventure is about to begin! We are super excited and we can’t wait to welcome our new addition into the family!” Ben wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of him hugging Juliana. “Babyzinho we can’t wait to meet you! We are now preparing for the most beautiful blessing we could ask for! The best is yet to come! [red heart emoji].”
A day later, Juliana shared her own message. “So excited for our new adventure. Words aren’t enough to tell you how wonderful you are,” the Brazilian beauty gushed via Instagram. “I’m forever grateful for the happiness and joy you have brought into my life, and for make one of my biggest dream come true [sic], we can’t wait to meet you.”
Juliana revealed the major news just one month after announcing her split from ex-husband Michael Jessen. The pair made their TLC debut back on season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé. Meeting at a yacht party in Croatia, the pair initially raised eyebrows with their 20-year age gap. The couple returned for the spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Self Quarantined before announcing their decision to split in October 2021, just shy of their two-year wedding anniversary.
An insider later told In Touch in January 2022 that Michael “learned about” his estranged wife’s pregnancy “the same way everyone else did,” which is through social media. Rumors also swirled about the possible paternity of her baby. A second source at the time claimed Michael’s ex-wife Sarah Naso’s husband Sean Naso could be the father.
In her own exclusive statement to In Touch, Juliana renounced the rumors and said she had “confirmation” that Ben was the father of her child. “It’s really sad that this family has nothing to use against me, and they are using my baby and making these stories about me,” she told In Touch. “I hope I never have to hear or see these people again.”
In Touch previously confirmed Juliana filed for divorce on Valentine’s Day in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Filing for “dissolution of marriage,” the divorce was finalized on May 19, uncontested by either party.
