No regrets. Asuelu Pulaa’s sister Tammy refused to apologize to Kalani Faagata during an awkward family gathering on the Sunday, September 13, episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? The couple decided to have all of their loved ones sit down for a heart-to-heart conversation after giving therapy a try.

Kalani, 31, struggled to get along with Asuelu’s brood after his mother, Lesina, and sister Tammy insisted on getting money from the TLC duo to send back to their relatives in Samoa. When Asuelu picked up Lesina from the airport, she felt “disrespected” that Kalani didn’t come along for the ride to welcome her.

While chatting in the car, divorce came up again and Lesina suggested he be “strong” and stand up for himself, especially because Tammy was going to meet up with them later. Lesina said Asuelu, 24, often put Kalani first, which made their relationship quite strained. “If you love me, you love Kalani,” he replied.

Asuelu told his mother he didn’t want to be stuck in the middle of their feud and unfortunately, that is exactly where he ended up when they all reunited.

The group later sat down for a meal together, and it didn’t go as smoothly as he hoped. Kalani’s mom, Lisa, and dad, Low, were ready to talk with Lesina, Tammy and Asuelu’s other sister Rosa about the elephant in the room

“If Asuelu doesn’t stick up for his family, I don’t think I would be supporting him as being a part of my family,” Low said in his confessional.

Asuelu was hopeful everyone would be willing to let go of the past, but Kalani wanted “answers” after the way she was treated by his relatives in Washington.

Tammy explained her point of view, claiming Asuelu needed to help his family and Kalani should have already known that because he came from a Samoan background.

Lisa then called out Tammy and Lesina for blaming everything on Kalani, leading Low to chime in. “You can’t send all your money back to Samoa and let your family starve,” he explained. Asuelu said if they had “enough” they would help out.

Tammy and Lesina doubled down on their stance and Lisa asked if the couple was supposed to fight just to make them happy. In her own confessional, Lisa said she felt Asuelu’s relatives were pushing the “Polynesian culture card” too much.

At the end of the discussion, Asuelu was starting to side with Kalani and said he really wanted to “fix” his marriage and take care of his wife and children.

Lesina apologized and said it was up to Asuelu at the end of the day, however she did “hate” the decision he made. On the other hand, Tammy turned down the opportunity to say sorry for their dispute in Washington, claiming she didn’t do anything wrong to Kalani and felt Asuelu forgot where he came from

“It makes me sad and angry at the same time,” Tammy said in her confessional. “I don’t think Kalani is good for Asuelu. I want them to get divorced.”

The family struggles are clearly not over yet, but Kalani said she was hopeful for the future.
