90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? star Kalani Faagata called out critics in an informative message about Samoa and reality TV following her money drama with husband Asuelu Pulaa and his sister Tammy Pulaa on the Sunday, August 30, episode.

After their cultural differences led to a heated feud, Kalani, 31, was eager to clear the air about a few misconceptions on Monday, August 31. “I’m on a reality TV show about relationships. I’m not on a show that explores the ethnography of Sāmoa. It is not my obligation, nor Asuelu’s, to spoon-feed fa’asamoa to those with ethnocentric ideologies, who specifically watch the show for drama,” the TLC alum began on Instagram, referring to the customary way of life in Samoa.

The mom of two highlighted information about both topics is “readily available” for “anyone” willing to look and learn. “If people are incapable of entering a five letter word into a search engine, why would anyone care about their perceptions in the first place?” she asked her followers

“Some of you are responding to these people by s–tting on us, rather than enlightening them. If you’re truly upset about perceived misrepresentation, and not just bandwagon upset, why not tag informative pages like @samoatourism or @measinasamoa?”

She also tagged the page titled Brown Girl Woke, noting the organization holds workshops for “[Samoan] girls to teach them about their periods and make the topic less taboo.” The community is also helping people “break the cycle of domestic violence and abuse, amongst a laundry list of other things,” Kalani added.

“If y’all wanted the historically accurate portrayal of fa’asamoa from us, we’d be on National Geographic. (But, we too ratchet for that, and y’all wouldn’t watch that anyway),” the season 5 star quipped. “So, put your money where your mouth is and JUSS GEEV DEM DA MONEHH, DAS ALL I WAN! Screenshot your donations and I will post them to my story,” Kalani concluded her post.

In the final line of her caption, the Pillow Talk alum was referencing the comment made by Asuelu’s mother, Lesina, on the August 23 episode of Happily Ever After? At the time, Lesina and Tammy were asking Kalani to convince Asuelu, 24, to send their family money. “Just give me the money. That’s all I want,” Lesina declared, claiming she wasn’t worried about how that would impact her grandkids.

The conflict upset Kalani so much she questioned if there was a future for her and Asuelu during the latest episode. “I’m tired and I’m emotionally exhausted, and I need to sleep. I just need to go home and figure things out. I’m just done. I don’t want to be married anymore,” Kalani said in her confessional, as they traveled home to Utah after visiting Asuelu’s loved ones in Washington. “I love him, but I have to start loving myself and my boys more.”

We’ll see how the drama unfolds in upcoming episodes.
