She’s reacting to the news. In a surprising turn of events, 90 Day Fiancé star Jay Smith (full name: Conroy St. Christopher Smith) was released from ICE custody on Wednesday, July 31. His estranged wife, Ashley Martson, revealed that she was informed of the update while chatting with In Touch exclusively, and the TLC alum also shared new details about his deportation status. Jay has spent over four weeks at York County Prison in York, Pennsylvania, for violating a PFA (Protection From Abuse) order that was placed against him by Ashley. Now, he’s free. It’s been a long few weeks for Jay, who previously turned himself into authorities upon learning that he had a warrant out for his arrest.

The Jamaica native, 21, was in hot water for violating a PFA (Protection From Abuse) order that was placed against him by his estranged wife, Ashley, on July 1.

The following day, Upper Allen Police investigated a report of a PFA violation following a social media post made by Jay. It’s unclear which post was flagged.

Facing Consequences

Since Jay is not a United States citizen, he was placed in ICE custody. The reality star was being detained in York County Prison in Pennsylvania until this point.

Scheduled Hearing

The TLC alum recently appeared before a judge for a hearing on July 17. Jay was found guilty of violating the PFA and a penalty was imposed at the time.

Kayla O’Brien, the friend who has been running Jay’s Instagram, revealed he was “sentenced one day and a $100 fine for the violation over the Instagram post.”

“The time has already been served since he has been in there two weeks already,” Kayla shared.

Big Update

On July 31, Jay’s boss, Ego, posted a photo of a $4,500 check via social media, revealing that he was ready to bail the reality star out. Kayla and Ego both confirmed to In Touch that Jay was released from ICE custody.

After another cheating scandal, Ashley filed for divorce from Jay for the second time in April and it looks like this split may stick. During the tell-all that aired this weekend, she opened up about how devastated she felt.

“Honestly, I’m dying inside, just so you all know. Like, I’ve sat in my bed for two weeks straight, trying to take care of my kids, I lost 23 pounds,” Ashley said.
