Just awful news for the family of Morgan Freeman. The actor's 33-year-old step-granddaughter was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Sunday in Manhattan.
E'Dena Hines, the granddaughter of Morgan's first wife Jeannette Adair Bradshaw, was found lying in the street on W. 162nd Street suffering from stab wounds to the torso.
She was rushed to Harlem Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

A 30-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene and a knife was also recovered, police confirmed to People. The investigation is ongoing.
Soon after the news broke, 78-year-old Morgan paid tribute to his step-granddaughter.
"The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer," he said. "Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person.
"Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."
