People were shocked when Mac Miller’s mom, Karen Meyers, showed up to the Grammy Awards on February 10 with Cazzie David. The brunette beauty, 24, hung out with the “Come Back to Earth” rapper’s mom before the awards show. She posted a photo on her Instagram Story of Karen all dressed up in a black outfit with a friend and added heart and heart eye emojis.

The Pittsburgh native’s latest album, Swimming, was posthumously nominated in the Best Rap Album category, but unfortunately, he lost the award to Cardi B, 26. But one person who was not happy that he didn’t take home the coveted trophy was his ex Ariana.

After the “Bodak Yellow” singer won, Ari, 25, tweeted “trash,” ‘f–k,” “bulls–t” and “literal bullsh–t,” and one fan immediately called her out. “Nothing to do with her. Good for her. I promise. I’m sorry,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “She’s not at all and that’s not what I meant and you know that.”

The Florida native later explained why she was upset. One person tweeted, “Y’all invited Mac’s parents out and you didn’t give him an award are y’all DUMB? @RecordingAcad.”

“This. This is what I meant,” the pop star said. “Karen was gonna have a green suit made. [Mac] slept in the studio for two months.”

Larry David’s daughter dated the comedian for two years, while Ariana dated Mac for nearly two years as well. The Grammy winner then moved on with Pete, but unfortunately, they called off their engagement and broke up after four months in October 2018. The rapper died in September 2018 from an accidental overdose.
