Ariana Grande Slammed For Tweeting ‘Trash’ After Mac Miller Loses Grammy Award to Cardi B
Tweetstorm alert! After Cardi B won Best Rap Album during the Grammy Awards, Ariana Grande commented a series of tweets under the announcement that included things like “f–k,” “trash” and “bulls–t.” The songstress came forward to clear the air and admitted that there’s no saltiness towards the “Money” artist. It may have something to do with the fact that her late boyfriend, Mac Miller, lost out on the award.
A bunch of fans captured screenshots of the surprising comments left by the 25-year-old songstress. However, she quickly deleted them and clarified what she meant.
“Nothing to do [with] her. Good for her. I promise. I’m sorry,” the Sweetener artist replied to a fan in a now-deleted tweet. She added in another now-deleted response, “She’s not at all and that’s not what I meant and u know that.”
It turns out, the brunette beauty was just really gunning for her ex to win the category, especially since his mother, Karen Meyer, was invited to attend.
It sounds like attending the award show was a very big deal “Karen was going to have a green suit made,” the starlet revealed. She added, “He slept in the studio for two months.”
Even being nominated for his last studio album, Swimming, meant the world to people who loved the late artist most. “Malcolm’s family was so moved when his nomination was announced,” a source close to the family told Us Weekly. “They are really hopeful that the Recording Academy will honor what they believe to be the most important and impactful rap album of the year.”
“It will be a bittersweet moment for them if Malcolm wins,” the source continued. “And if he doesn’t, they’re rooting for Cardi B.”
Although Mac didn’t take the win, at least their second choice did. As for Ari, she’ll always support her ex.
