Awkward. Jon Gosselin gave a custody update on his kids in a new interview with HLN on Wednesday, May 15. “Two of the kids live with me, Hannah and Collin, so they won’t be on the show,” referring to his ex Kate Gosselin’s new show, Kate Plus Date. “They live with me and my girlfriend, Colleen. We have a house right down from Kate’s house,” he said. “The twins — Cara and Madelyn — are going off to college and the other four are living with Kate. Joel, Aaden, Leah and Alexis. So, eight kids in three different school districts.”

Unfortunately, the 42-year-old doesn’t get to be with the other children who don’t live with him. “I see them, but I really don’t have any interaction with the other six,” he admitted. “Collin had one visitation with his siblings since he’s been back. We’re working on that.”

It’s been 10 years since Kate, 44, and Jon — who share 15-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Joel, Aaden and Collin along with 18-year-old twins Mady and Cara — divorced. Now, the blonde beauty is ready to find love on television.

“Have you noticed I’ve been single for the last decade?” she said in the new trailer. “I don’t even know, like, what the rules are. Like, can somebody help me out here?”

So, what does Jon think about his ex’s new endeavor? “Well, I guess, to each his own. Whatever keeps the lights on. I don’t know. I just work a normal job. I haven’t really been on reality TV in about 10 years,” he confessed. “Although I do come visit L.A. pretty often and New York, but I kind of just stay out of the limelight as much as possible. I do DJ, but it doesn’t bring the limelight like it did 10 years ago. If she chooses to do that, she chooses to do it.”
