Check out those pearly whites! Kate Gosselin celebrated her son Joel’s latest milestone in the sweetest way, by throwing a “braces off” party. The reality star shared a photo from the festivities on May 14, giving fans a glimpse at the adorable themed cake she made for the special occasion.

“Another 1 (set of braces) bites the dust! It’s cause for a GOSSELIN BRACES OFF PARTY! And now I’m down to only ONE in braces!!! Woo hoo!! #Joel #HandsomeLilGuy #LoveHim❤️ #BracesOffParty,” the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 44, wrote. “It’s such a fun show! I had so much fun … and felt so awkward too! I can’t wait for you to see it!!! #KatePlusDate,” the mother-of-eight replied. Kate’s highly anticipated new series will premiere on June 1, and it will show her navigating the dating scene years after her split from Jon Gosselin.

Jon and Kate’s divorce was finalized in 2009. The exes are proud parents to twins, Madelyn and Cara, 18, as well as sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Aaden, who all just turned 15.

On May 10, Jon shared a heartwarming b-day message dedicated to his kids on Instagram. “Wow I can’t believe you are 15! Time is flying by! I love you all very much. I wish you the best day ever and I hope you enjoy your birthday celebrations today and this weekend,” Jon captioned his post. Meanwhile, Kate also posted a message of her own to ring in the sextuplets’ big day.

“I’m amazed by them each day! I’m so proud of the positive qualities I’ve seen developing as they edge closer to adulthood,” Kate wrote. “It hasn’t been easy for them, especially over the last year and a half, but they continue to persevere, stay positive and make lemonade out of lemons.”
