Listen, she tried, OK? Jill Duggar shared yet another … shall we say, interesting recipe on Instagram and her blog on Jan. 14, and fans were frankly less than impressed. “New recipe up on our site! Link in bio or swipe up in my story!👆🏻 Thanks, @cldilla for the yummy recipe! 💕,” the Counting On star wrote on the social media platform. Check out our video above to find out more about the stuffed mushroom recipe Jill saw fit to share with the world, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

A lot of fans were apparently very put off by the image Jill shared of the food she prepared, and likely didn’t click over to learn more about her latest recipe. “Gross. They look like snails,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Yuck, yuck, yuck.” And to all of those who actually praised the 19 Kids and Counting alum on her newest culinary offering, one person said, “Ewww y’all need glasses!” These people do not pull punches!

This is far, far from the first time Jill has received criticism for one of her recipes. In fact, she’s probably pretty used to it by now. Usually, she’s scorned for using so many canned ingredients rather than fresh components, and we have to give her props for stepping outside her comfort zone when it comes to that for this particular concoction. There isn’t a canned ingredient in sight!

For example, on Nov. 26, Jill posted a picture on her Instagram telling followers to head to her bio for a new recipe, but the photo she featured in the post was so uninspired that a lot of people couldn’t even tell what the dish was supposed to be from the pic alone. It was apparently something called “party potatoes,” but fans made other guesses such as, “potato salad” and “‘white trash’ mix.” Not exactly the most appetizing shot, to say the least.

Perhaps now that Jill’s sister Jana Duggar is on Instagram, she might try to promote any garden photos her older sibling shares there by including fresh veggies from the family’s plants into more of the recipes she shares. We can dream, right?
