Chef Jill Duggar, WYD? The Former ‘Counting On’ Star’s 3 Bean Chili Recipe Is Hella Watery
SIGH. Will Jill Duggar ever take our advice? The former Counting On star — who was booted off the show thanks to her lame husband, Derick Dillard — took to Instagram earlier this week to post another, you guessed it, “God awful” recipe. So what was on the menu this time? Her Three Bean Chili.
“Making some 3 bean chili… mmmm!” she wrote on a pic of the watery concoction. OK, to be fair, she probably just put everything into the slow cooker, but she could have waited until it was cooked so that, oh, I don’t know, it looked more appealing? That’s rule number one if you ever hope to get that influencer career off the ground, girl!
Yet this isn’t the first time the reality TV exile posted a chili recipe on the social media platform. Back in September, Jill revealed her take on White Chicken Chili and was ROASTED in the comments. “It looks like vomit,” one person bluntly wrote.
Yet that comment was nothing compared to the backlash she received on her Chicken Spaghetti Sauce recipe.
“It is really easy to make a lovely sweet and sour dish without a lot of cans of soup,” one hater wrote on her blog. In the now-deleted comment, they added, “It concerns me the salt content of this.” Another added, “Using canned chicken is unacceptable. Also, you really shouldn’t use bouillion in addition to all that canned soups. Way too much salt, and it is harmful to all your kidneys.” A third just couldn’t hold back and fumed, “Jill, you have to wake up and learn to cook for real, not just throwing cans of stuff together. Your meals will be much healthier and will taste better also. Go check out some cookbooks at the library.” Ouch!
But seriously, Jill. We’ve been telling you to ditch the can opener for weeks!
