Looks like Derick Dillard isn’t the only one leaving Counting On! On Dec. 18, the controversial reality star confirmed that his wife Jill Duggar will also be stepping back from the hit TLC show, and it doesn’t sound like she had much say in it. Watch the video below to see his explanation:

The tweets come after Derick was reportedly fired from the show following controversial comments he made about fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. After repeatedly calling the transgender teen “him” and questioning her sexuality, TLC could no longer turn a blind eye to Derick’s horrible remarks.

“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future,” TLC said in a statement. “We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”

It’s unfortunate that Jill will no longer be participating, especially since she’s gotten a lot more interesting lately. The mother-of-two appears to have taken a few cues from her sister Jinger Duggar by starting to wear pants. She then decided to take her edgy, new lifestyle a step further by getting a nose piercing and a henna tattoo! We thought Jill was finally coming out of her shell, but now we won’t get to see her bolder personality on TV. Luckily, she keeps fans updated on Instagram, so we’ll just have to keep an eye out for her on there.
