Jenelle Evans and David Eason Receive Suspicious ‘White Powder Substance’ in the Mail Amid Custody Battle

“Subject did send a white powder substance to the victim in the mail,” the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office report read, which listed David, 30, as the victim.

According to the site, the cops were called on the same day that Ensley, the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, and Maryssa, Eason’s 11-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, were taken from their custody.

Jenelle and David, who wed in 2017, have been at the center of controversy following his jaw-dropping dog killing incident in April. Not long after, a judge ordered for all of her children to be removed from the family’s home.

“A call was made today, and it was relayed that the woman’s husband had killed her dog,” the Sheriff’s Department revealed to Radar on April 30. “The Sheriff is out there right now investigating and there will be an incident report filed later.”

David admitted to slaying the innocent pup in a now-deleted message on Instagram. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face … Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog, and I don’t put up with that s–t at all,” he said on May 1.

“I’m all about protecting my family,” he continued. “It is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for, and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want, but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge [whether] or not an animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”

Jenelle, however, is devastated. “Nugget … I’m crying every day. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless,” she mourned on social media.

“You were my sidekick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me,” Jenelle continued. “You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Every day I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed … you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught 😓😪💔”

Though David turned off the comments on his posts, followers were still able to weigh in on Jenelle’s — and they felt the father was responsible for more than just putting the dog down. In fact, they blamed him for the bite, too.

“So I watched the video,” wrote one fan in a comment with nearly 2,000 likes at the time. “He full-on let her put her face in the dog’s face, and he knew what was going to happen. So instead of stopping it before she got bit, he just let it play out. Get out of that relationship before something happens to you,” they continued. “He was quick to shoot the dog, so what else is he capable of???!!!”

Back in August 2018, David introduced followers to their new adopted pet on Instagram, writing, “These dog days got us hanging out the window cooling off! Everyone meet Nugget the Frenchie!”

A few years back, when Jenelle was still dating Nathan Griffith, an episode of the MTV show showed her getting very frustrated while caring for their dog, leading many fans to express their concern.

The channel included a disclaimer about animal abuse during the episode and she later apologized for her treatment of the dog. Jenelle lost custody of the pup, Mugen, in 2015.

Since then, the network fired Jenelle, 27, from TM2 amid the public outcry, having cut ties with Eason in 2018 after he posted a series of homophobic tweets.

A public information officer for the sheriff’s office told Radar that the case involving the white powder substance “is still under investigation.”
