“Nugget … I’m crying every day. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless,” she wrote. “You were my sidekick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Every day I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed … you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken#Distraught.”

Unsurprisingly, fans were pissed to hear the news. “I certainly hope there are animal cruelty charges brought against that thing of a human,” one person fumed in the comments. Another added, “What number can we call, or what can the public do to bring attention to this? This dog needs justice, and the children should NOT be in the home. What can we do?” A third, meanwhile, chimed in, “I’m sending [this] video to authorities.”

Still, others are hoping Jenelle, 27, gets the boot from the hit MTV series — for good. “Enough is enough! #MTV needs to FIRE Jenelle Evans if no other reason than to no longer put money into a place that houses her f–k-wit of a #husband, David,” someone wrote on Twitter on April 30. “A 911 call was made today claiming that David killed Jenelle’s dog! WTF??? Jenelle hasn’t posted about the incident, but her FB status says ‘feeling devastated!’ Bitch, that dog was devastated! I can’t stand these people! They are both total abominations! Those poor children! This man isn’t going to stop until someone ends up dead!”

On May 1, David, 30, admitted to the shooting and posted a video of the slaying on Instagram. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face … whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s–t at all,” he captioned the now-deleted post. “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge whether or not an animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”
On Feb. 19, David got into a fight with another Twitter user about a South Carolina bill to allow concealed carry schools. That user suggested education is how parents should protect their kids. “And just what makes you think you have a right to tell me how to be a parent?” David snapped back. “Because you think you know me? LMAO, why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals. Oh, I forgot, that’s supposed to be normal.”

A third user then jumped into the conversation, asking, “Who are you to say what’s normal or what’s moral? Are you going to teach your children to hate gay and transgender people?”

“No,” David responded. “I’m going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way … If you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.”

Amid the resulting outcry, he said, “Homophobic? You really lost it now. I’m not scared [of] s–t, especially a homo.”

Fans immediately demanded David be fired from Teen Mom, and MTV revealed he had indeed been axed. “David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV,” the network’s official statement read. “With six weeks left of production on Teen Mom 2, effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.”

Now, Jenelle is considering divorce. She told Us Weekly. “At this time, we are dealing with this rough situation. I want to focus on what’s best for me and my kids. [Divorce is] in thoughts, but nothing is finalized.”

“David killed my dog Nugget because he snapped at my 2-year-old, Ensley. He doesn’t put up with that and those are his beliefs,” the reality star told the outlet. “He just took her and shot her in the woods … about two acres away from the house.”

“David and I are not on talking terms,” the 16 and Pregnant alum continued. “I’m too hurt and upset at the fact he did that. It’s taking time to get over this whole situation, and it’s making me feel he’s very cruel and doesn’t have a heart on many ends.”
