She’s firing back. Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee issued a statement via Snapchat on April 29, shortly after “a ton” of fans reported her for posting a video of her young son playing the guitar naked. The MTV alum explained how she was just sharing a sweet moment with her followers, and simply forgot to “cover up his little boy parts.” Mackenzie received over a thousand messages telling her to delete it and she did. The reality star said she was flooded with angry messages. Mackenzie confirmed that several fans reached out to her privately to vent their frustrations.

“I have over a thousand messages and have only opened about 100 of you letting me know I need to delete it (which I have),” she continued.

Mackenzie explained that she won’t be opening messages for the next 24 hours as a result.

“I’m still confused as to why women’s boobs can be all over Snap, but a naked baby can’t,” Mackenzie wrote. “Good night world.”

Behind the Backlash

On the other hand, one fan on Reddit explained why people might be so upset about the clip. “The difference is that the adult is consenting to their body parts being shown, the child is not,” the commenter wrote.

Over the Years

Fans have built up a relationship with Mackenzie due to watching her on the hit MTV franchise. She gave birth to her oldest son Gannon on her episode of 16 and Pregnant, which aired in 2012.
