She may be constantly shutting down courting rumors, but that doesn’t mean that Jana Duggar isn’t actually dating. In Us Weekly‘s exclusive new clip from the Tuesday, October 22 episode of Counting On, the Duggar daughter opens up about her romantic life. Though she clarifies she hasn’t exactly “been in courtships necessarily,” there’s been no shortage of guys interested in asking her out. And, believe it or not, she’s actually given some of them a chance.

“You recently mentioned online that you’ve, in fact, been in courtships, but they never went anywhere. Can you elaborate on that?” one of the TLC producers asked Jana, 29, in the clip. In response, she explained, “There have been, yeah, a number of guys ask. Just, like, nothing’s worked out. Different ones of us have been in relationships, courtships, whatever you want to label it as. Of course it doesn’t always end in marriage, and that’s OK. Like, you have to sometimes talk with someone, get to know someone and just realize, ‘You know what?’ It doesn’t have to end in marriage.”

In the past, Jana has joked around with fans about why it’s taking so long for her to find her prince charming. “Maybe he’s riding in on a green turtle instead of a white horse,” she commented playfully after a fan weighed in on her single status. Admitting that she’s “still searching for Mr. Right” — a.k.a. a man she loves as much as her car — she referenced a Michael Bublé song by quipping, “Just haven’t met [him] yet!” That doesn’t mean her family isn’t doing their best to matchmake on her behalf, though.

“Everyone’s always giving their suggestions,” the star revealed in the clip. And in January, little sister Jessa Duggar joked that “if anyone is interested,” they can send their applications to her. “I will check them out thoroughly,” she teased. But Jana’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, may be taking the subject a little more seriously. According to a source close to the family, the parents of 19 are getting “frustrated” with the wait. Though they’ve tried to be “patient” — and that attitude seemingly worked out while waiting for John David Duggar to meet his match — the clock is ticking.

“Meet a nice boy, date, get engaged, marry and start a family right away — that’s just how the Duggars do things,” the insider exclusively told In Touch. “But Jana isn’t going to marry someone just to follow the family norm — and that’s refreshing.” Well, it is for fans. For her parents, less so.
