The Duggar Family Is Weirdly Obsessed With Eating at Chick-fil-A

Has anybody else noticed how the Duggar family is weirdly obsessed with Chick-fil-A? Like way more than the normal person? Because, believe us, we love a good spicy chicken sandwich. The Duggars, however, take things to the next level. Not only do they regularly post their meals (cough, Jessa Duggar, cough), they also celebrate with it for special occasions — like the most romantic day of the year.

“Celebrating Valentine’s Day at Chick-fil-A!” Anna Duggar wrote on Instagram with a picture of her lunch. What a way to set the mood (the mood, if you will). But basically, that’s all to say that this family loves the fast food restaurant almost as much as they love eating pickles or the Chocolate Mess from MarketPlace Grill, which is a whole frickin’ lot. So, of course, it’s also the number one pregnancy craving for all the Duggar daughters. “How is it that being pregnant can make this such an emotional moment?? #TheLastNugget,” Jessa wrote in 2015 as a ~touching~ homage to her lunch.

But it’s not just that they’re eating it literally all the time and going there for holidays. It’s also that they celebrate “Cow Appreciation Day” every single year by literally dressing up as cows to go to Chick-fil-A. And, no, we’re not joking. The restaurant celebrates the occasion every July by giving away free meals to customers in costume, and the Duggars will do anything for that spicy chicken (or anything free).

In 2018, Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard and their two boys headed to their local establishment dressed in white T-shirts and lightly colored paper spots for their free chow, although we were a bit disappointed in their effort. Meanwhile, the previous July, Jana Duggar helped all the kids make their cow costumes, and she rolled up with all her siblings, nieces and nephews decked out. So, yeah. It’s a whole thing.

On the other hand, are we surprised? The Duggars don’t celebrate Halloween because it doesn’t promote “a safe environment” (a.k.a. it’s not Christian enough), so those kids need some reason to dress up. It doesn’t hurt that those costumes go hand-in-hand with the company that was so Christian that they became embroiled in the same-sex marriage debate, leading to public boycotts because the company donated to discriminatory organizations. It figures that the seriously religious family would want to support them at every turn. And they’re constantly sharing their visits to the fast food joint on Instagram. Check out the entirety of the Duggars’ Chick-fil-A obsession in the pictures below.
