Diddy, Miley Cyrus and Other Stars Whose Homes Have Been Raided or Swatted

Kris Jenner

In January 2013, Kris’ home was swarmed by law enforcement officers with their guns drawn. Helicopters circled overhead after a 911 call, reportedly coming from inside the home, claimed a person had been shot inside the home. The caller claimed to be hiding inside a closet for their safety. 

When officers arrived, Kris, ex-husband Caitlyn and youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner were home at the time. Despite the whole thing being determined to be a hoax, the family was asked to vacate the property while officers searched the home, TMZ reported at the time.

Ashton Kutcher

Once a professional prankster himself, Ashton was the victim of a swatting prank in October 2012. The reported hostage situation at the former That ‘70s Show star’s home was later determined to have stemmed from an emergency call made by a 12-year-old kid. The underage suspect later admitted to the crime and was charged with two felony counts. 

Selena Gomez

The Only Murders in the Building star was swatted back in April 2013 when she was home with her mother. According to TMZ, the 911 caller told the dispatcher that Selena’s father had killed her mother and was threatening to burn down the home. It was later determined to have been a prank. 

Miley Cyrus

Miley was the unfortunate victim of two swatting attacks. The former child star was not home during either the August 2012 or the May 2013 incident. Both were determined to be false alarms after officers searched her Los Angeles home with their guns drawn.

Jake Paul

Jake’s California mansion was raided by FBI in August 2020 after the YouTube star was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona, during a George Floyd protest that May. Multiple guns were seized from the property. 

On August 13, 2021, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona announced that no federal charges would be pressed against the boxer.

Diddy

The rapper’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security in March 2024 in connection with a federal sex trafficking investigation. While Diddy was not home for either of the investigations, video footage of the aftermath shows that law enforcement turned the houses upside down during their search. 

“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,” his attorney, Aaron Dyer, told TMZ, calling the ordeal a “witch hunt.”
