She needs a break! After months of drama following her domestic violence arrest, Amber Portwood is officially taking a step back. On Sunday, November 17, the Teen Mom OG star took to Instagram to let her fans know that she’s planning to take a social media hiatus. After all of the “negativity” she’s had surrounding her relationship with ex Andrew Glennon, she’s doing what she can to limit it. Check out the gallery below to see what Amber said.
Ever since Amber, 29, was arrested on felony domestic battery charges after an altercation that took place on the 4th of July, there’s been a lot of back-and-forth between her and her ex.
Though Amber denied using the knife, the Affidavit for Probable Cause obtained by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup read, “Mr. Glennon stated Ms. Portwood picked up a machete … Mr. Glennon stated he locked himself and [the baby] into the office. … Mr. Glennon stated she hit the door with the machete and kicked the door and broke the handle.”
“Father believes Mother is currently unable to provide a safe, stable and secure environment for James on an ongoing basis due to her frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns,” the paperwork read.

Drama
Since then, the couple’s messy relationship has transcended their court case and spilled into the social media sphere. After fans spotted a mystery woman in one of Andrew’s photos, he opened up about his time with Amber.

Pointing Fingers
“I’ve made [a] cry for help on her behalf to literally everyone in her life,” he told his followers. “All landed on deaf ears of denial. She said herself to her psychiatrist that she felt like a ticking time bomb.”
She’s made her own claims, too, accusing her ex of denying her visits with her son. Paperwork filed in court slammed Andrew and his lawyer for not responding to visitation requests.

Plans
Andrew says that’s not true, however. “There is no denying of any visitations,” he exclusively told In Touch. “My attorney has been in touch with her attorney, and papers have been filed that will help to get this process moving.”

Issues
The father of one seemed to blame the miscommunication on his ex, suggesting that he couldn’t log in to an online account he needed because someone already made one for him using a different email, “almost as if someone created an account for me to which I cannot access or even know the password to.”

Leaving
“Last photo with me and this beautiful little lady yesterday,” she captioned a photo of herself and her daughter, Leah. “I’m going to hand over my Instagram so I won’t have to worry about negativity and [can] move forward in a positive light. You can still contact me, though,” she told fans. “I will get certain messages. 😊”

Family
It looks like the star is going to focus on spending time with her loved ones instead of checking in with her fans — and her haters. Recently, she did just that by helping her daughter celebrate her birthday.

Together
The mom of two shared a sweet message on Instagram. “Happy 11th birthday, my beautiful girl!!!” she wrote. “I love our hugs. I love our kisses, and I love singing together while looking into each other’s eyes. I love how you make me feel every time I see you.”

“I love the text messages we send of funny gifs and when you say goodnight but keep texting emojis,” she said. “But what I love most of all is when you tell me, ‘I love you, Mommy,’ and I say, ‘I love you, too, beautiful.’
