‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Amber Portwood’s Boyfriend Andrew Glennon Files for Emergency Custody of Son

Glennon filed new legal documents on Tuesday, July 9, seeking an emergency hearing to get sole custody of the one-year-old child he shares with Portwood, 29.

Based on the updates, it appears the couple could be calling it quits. Not only is Glennon fighting for custody, but he also didn’t bail Portwood out of jail. 

Bailed Out

A woman unrelated to the MTV alum actually paid the fees. Portwood was released over the weekend on a cash bond of $2,000, Radar Online reports.

Since then, more shocking details have been revealed about what happened between Portwood and Glennon on July 5. 

Heated Altercation

Portwood allegedly slapped a shoe across her boyfriend’s neck while he held their son, James, according to new court documents.

Getting in Trouble

After their heated dispute which took place around 2 a.m., the reality star was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony domestic battery.

911 Call

Authorities were alerted to the turmoil at home when Glennon reportedly sent a text claiming that he and their son were in “danger.”

Shocking Details

“Officers spoke to the male victim, who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement,” a police spokesperson revealed.

Court Date

The state later asked for a continuance, which is said to be “normal” in cases like this, so Portwood’s hearing has been moved from July 8 to July 10. 

Mother-of-Two

Portwood has two children, James, who she shares with Glennon, as well as a 10-year-old daughter, Leah, shared with ex, Gary Shirley.

Showing Support

After hearing about Portwood’s arrest, Shirley took to Twitter. “My prayers are with @AmberLPortwood, Andrew and most importantly baby James,” he wrote. “Idk any of the particulars, however I’m thinking of them.”

Clearing the Air

Shirley also confirmed that Leah was not around for the altercation, revealing that she was on a camping trip with her best friend at the time.

Opening Up

During a recent episode of TMOG, Portwood spoke candidly about her bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, revealing she wasn’t “doing well” with her mood swings.
