Who knew the Brown family grew a new branch of the family tree? While we were focused on the new Alaskan bush baby, Rain Brown adopted a little one of her own — a new puppy. The Alaskan Bush People star shared the happy news on her Instagram a while back, but in case you missed it, we just had to share. This furry friend is just too cute, and he’s got a pretty incredible name to boot. It seems like Rainy was just as obsessed with A Star Is Born as everyone else was, because she named her new pooch after Bradley Cooper‘s character.
“Sadly I missed national puppy day, but this is Jakson Maine Brown,” she told her followers on Instagram on March 24. Though she changed the spelling slightly, the dog shares his first and middle name with the main character from the Lady Gaga flick. “I’ve only had him for two days, and this little dude has stolen my heart from top to bottom. I’m so lucky to be your mother, Jakson. I love you with every fiber of my being.” She even dubbed herself a “#pomeranianmom,” giving her pooch a smooch in the picture that she shared.

Sadly I missed national puppy day, but. This is jakson Maine brown, I’ve only had him for two days and this little dude has stolen my heart from top to bottom. I’m so lucky to be your mother jakson. I love you with every fiber of my being 🖤 #stayhappy #staystrong #pomeranianmom
Just a month earlier, the 16-year-old introduced fans of the family to her nephew, Elijah Conner Brown. “You have forever changed my heart, and I will spend the rest of my life protecting, loving and teaching you all I know,” she told him in a message shared to Instagram. But considering the fact that Noah Brown packed up his family and moved them to Colorado after tension with his family got to be too much, it seems like his little sister needed someone to new to shower with love.
Of course, the Brown family already has another dog, Mr. Cupcake. As a Belgian Tervuren, a.k.a. a kind of sheepdog, he cuts a much more intimidating figure — but with a name like Mr. Cupcake, it’s clear he’s a total sweetheart. Though he’s probably got at least 50 lbs on his new little brother, they’re both adorably fluffy, so we’re sure they’re already getting along great. And thank god, because this tiny pup is clearly gonna need a friend to be looking out for him in the bush. Now, we just need to see both of them together on the Discovery Channel show. Can we get a pupdate, please?
