’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Ashley Says Jay Has Been ‘Stepping Up’ Since Her Health Scare

“Jay completely stepped up since surgery,” Ashley exclusively revealed to In Touch. “[He’s been] taking the kids to school, cooking, cleaning.”

“He makes sure I’m comfortable and is always eager to get whatever I need,” she added.

“He has been a saint when it comes to my health,” Ashley gushed about her hubby.

“It isn’t easy for him to see me in pain but he just talks me through [it] [and] stays strong for the both of us,” she said.

“I think he is definitely ready for the two months to be up as intimacy is important in a marriage,” she added.

Ashely and Jay were first introduced to fans during season 6 of TLC’s hit reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé.

They documented their K-1 visa process for Jay to be able to enter the United States as Ashley’s fiancé as well as the 90-day countdown to their wedding.

But things quickly got tense between them after Ashley found out that Jay had created a dating profile on Tinder and used to talk to other women shortly after they returned from their elopement ceremony in Las Vegas.

Though Jay allegedly made plans to meet up with the women, he did not physically cheat on Ashley and she decided to forgive him.

Despite their split rumors, Ashley later revealed to Radar Online that she decided to forgive Jay.

But the couple had seemed to go through another rough patch in December, but that didn’t stop Jay from rushing to Ashley’s side during after she suffered a lupus flareup over the Christmas holiday.

Things went south again shortly after, because Ashley filed for divorce on January 11.

But just days later, on January 13, Ashley was rushed to nearby hospital after she was found unresponsive in her home due to complications from her battle with lupus. She later learned that she had suffered kidney failure and had to undergo surgery — and Jay remained by her side throughout the entire ordeal.

After her health scare, Ashley withdrew the paperwork for their divorce.

On February 10, Ashley cam clean on her Instagram Story about the status of her and Jay’s marriage.

“I’m breaking the NDA and surprise: Jay and I have never separated since the day we were married,” she wrote. “Breaking the NDA means I won’t be paid a dime for future shows. We were made to act as if our relationship was no longer active.”

Now, Ashley is thankfully doing a lot better and she recently shared an update on her health.

“My health is improving each day and I’m finally able to start living normally again,” she exclusively told In Touch.
