Calling It Quits

Natalia filed for divorce from Ricky on June 17, eight months after it was revealed they were working on their marital issues. Blogger John Yates was the first to report the news. 

Marital Woes

To clear the air about his legal situation, Ricky released a statement via social media about the temporary protective order. “This is called default judgment because I did not have an attorney,” he wrote.

Not Giving Up

The TLC alum later confirmed that he now has an attorney so he can “fight” to see Kira. Just a few days ago, he shared a new photo with a passionate message.

Trials and Tribulations

“You are heartless to do this. I miss her so damn much, I try my best to keep all my emotions in this little box in my mind and lock it away, but sometimes the box opens a little and that little fills my heart with tears and pain,” Ricky captioned a photo of himself with his daughter.

Tough Times

At the beginning of July, he posted another update. “Week 8 / nothing … unbelievable. I pray God can answer my prayers and let her know that I love her, hopefully she can feel it at least spiritually. #fightforyourdaughter,” Ricky explained.

Staying Strong

In June, the reality star claimed that he had gone five weeks without seeing Kira. Ricky and Natalia have gone through a rough patch with their relationship before, but they were trying to give their romance another shot.

Releasing a Statement

Natalia confirmed in October 2018 that he was still legally married, but separated at the time of filming season 2 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. She also hinted that she and Ricky tried to reconcile their relationship after he returned from his trip to Colombia to meet two of his potential love interests, which was documented on the show.

Firing Back

Around that time, Natalia also shut down rumors that he faked his relationships with Melissa and Ximena, so they could use the 90 Day Fiancé franchise to get publicity for his film production company.

Response Revealed

“Let me make one thing clear, I was not involved and never will be in this show. I knew he was going to Colombia, I was told the day before our anniversary, when I was already living somewhere else, that he was moving on,” Natalia wrote at the time.

Relationship Struggles

“Had I known it was to this magnitude, I would have prepared myself. After his trip, there were lots of regrets and promises, so blame me for being dumb — but that is all I was. I gave a man I loved another chance,” Natalia added.

Blossoming Romance

On a previous episode of Before the 90 Days, viewers saw Ricky pop the question to Ximena and she said yes to his proposal, however they later broke up. 

Time Will Tell

Fans witnessed Ximena’s heartbroken reaction at the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all, because Ricky left her to try to work on things with his wife.

Her Side of the Story

While taking to Instagram, Natalia also responded to claims they intentionally hurt Ximena and used her as part of their plan. 

Responding to Rumors

“I did nothing to Ximena. As soon as I saw the direction he had for the company, I stepped away,” Natalia continued. 

Love Triangle

“There is not enough money in the world to justify doing that to her, or putting myself through this. Now — did he have feelings for her? 100 [percent] but as we have all seen, his feelings change rather quickly,” she noted.

Now, it looks like things are over between Ricky and Natalia as well. Hopefully, everything works out for the best.
