’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Ricky And Ximena Are Engaged After He Proposes With Ring Meant For Melissa
He was determined to come back to the states as an engaged man! When 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Ricky left from his hometown in Columbus, OH to Medellín, Colombia to meet his online girlfriend Melissa for the first time, he left with an engagement ring in his fanny pack with the hopes of proposing to her. But things didn’t exactly go as planned, and after Melissa ended up ghosting him after their first date, Ricky moved on to his other Colombian Cupid match — Ximena. After spending about a week together, Ricky decided that he wanted to propose to Ximena and he used the same ring that was meant for Melissa.
While on a couples’ getaway to Guatapé, Colombia, Ricky, 33, arranged a romantic lunch date on a floating dock in the lake. At some point during their date, Ricky told Ximena, 27, that he wanted to take a beautiful picture of her while on the floating dock. He asked Ximena to pose with her back to him as she looked out at the lake, the trees, and the mountains. Once Ximena was in her pose, Ricky got down on one knee behind her and opened up the jewelry box that contained the engagement ring that he bought specifically for Melissa.

When Ximena turned around, she looked surprised and Ricky gave his sweet proposal speech. “You, for me, are a marvelous person. There was a reason why I [told you] about Melissa, because if I have a life with you, I have to tell you everything. Right? And I want to ask you, do you want to be my wife?” he asked. Of course, Ximena said yes, and Ricky seemed relieved that the ring he bought for Melissa fit Ximena.
“This whole adventure, it was a rollercoaster of emotions for her, but she still said yes and I am the happiest — I keep crying — I am the happiest man in the world,” Ricky said in his confession. “I know it’s crazy that I just proposed to Ximena so fast, but I said this from the beginning, there’s no metric when it comes to love.”
