’90 Day Fiance’ Star Jihoon Seemingly Confirms Deavan Has a New Boyfriend After Their Split
Does Deavan Clegg already have a new boyfriend? The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star’s estranged husband, Jihoon Lee, seemingly confirmed she’s already moved on with a new man just hours after the South Korea native confirmed their split.
“I know Deavan, she has a new boyfriend,” Jihoon, 29, said during an Instagram Live stream on Saturday, August 22, which was reposted by fan blog @90DayFianceNow. “Yeah, she has [a] new boyfriend. I saw that post. So, wow. I can’t believe it, oh my God. Wow. Yeah, just. My plan is [to] just focus on myself.”
The TLC star opened up about the Utah native’s new relationship after rumors started swirling online, which were sparked when she shared a photo with a mystery man on her Instagram Story. Jihoon seemed to have no negative feelings towards his estranged wife for moving on so quickly.
“So we are [living] our own life, Deavan [lives her] life. Me, [I] live my life. And I’m not [looking for] a new girl right now. Just, later. Or, just single,” he continued. “I want my ex and her boyfriend, just [to] be happy. Cause [it’s] her choice and [that’s the] way she [thinks] [she] will be happy and I’m just [going to] walk to my own way. But we’re still Taeyang’s parents.”
He went on to explain to fans he still plans to financially support the former couple’s 16-month-old son, Taeyang, through the money he makes at his job and with his Cameo videos. “I want [to] be his father,” Jihoon added. “She [says] I can see Taeyang every summer or December.”
Jihoon confirmed the couple’s split in a separate live stream earlier on Saturday, just two days after Deavan confirmed she “moved back” to America. She had been previously living with Jihoon in South Korea as a family with their son and her daughter, Drascilla, from a previous relationship.
Fans started speculating the couple had broken up after Deavan started sharing photos on Instagram of herself back home in her home state of Utah, only about eight months after she relocated to South Korea. At the time, Deavan and her mother, Elicia Clegg, told fans Deavan was just visiting family and had gotten “stuck” in America due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it was later confirmed Deavan was permanently living in America with Drascilla, 4, and Taeyang while Jihoon remained in South Korea. The couple’s marital drama is currently playing out on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Even though Jihoon seems to have a positive mindset about his split from his wife, he opened up with fans about how he’s feeling amid their breakup. “I just feel so sick and lonely. Just, I want [to] talk to anything, anyone. It feels like, just [a] dream. Feels like [a] dream right now, this all happened. Just [a] dream. I can’t believe this situation,” he told fans. “I hope this situation [is] just [a] dream.”
