‘90 Day Fiance’ Stars Stephanie and Ryan Split Before They Filmed Their Breakup Scenes

Reality TV fakery? 90 Day Fiancé couple Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr’s long-distance relationship and subsequent breakup was documented during season 8 of the series, but Stephanie later revealed that their split happened months before it was captured on camera. How did Stephanie and Ryan Meet?

They initially crossed paths while the businesswoman was vacationing in Belize. Stephanie, 52, admitted to having an instant attraction to Ryan, 27, and she began taking regular trips to visit him, all while showering him with tons of gifts, including watches.

Stephanie and Ryan were together for about a year and a half before they were cast on season 8 in May 2020. They made their debut after season 8 premiered that December.

When they started filming, the owner of Skin Envy Non-Surgical Weight Loss Centers and the hospitality industry worker were engaged. Stephanie had already filed for the K-1 visa so she could bring Ryan to America.

Are Stephanie and Ryan Still Together?

No. The couple split midway between season 8, shortly after they reunited in Belize. Their breakup played out on an episode.

 

Did Stephanie Psychic Predict Their Split?

In a December 2020 episode, Stephanie did a tarot card reading with her psychic pal Maria, who informed her Ryan may have a need for “attention” and possibly another woman around him back in his native country of Belize. Stephanie noted they did have a lot of “trust issues” plaguing their romance, but said she also had some skeletons in her own closet. The spa owner confessed to hooking up with his cousin while they were on a break after a dispute they previously had.

“Basically, it was over between Ryan and I,” she told Maria. “You know me. I’m such an honest person and again, I would have never slept with his cousin had I not found, you know, all of those other texts and everything.”

When Did Ryan and Stephanie Really Break Up?

In her tell-all, “Sofa Talk With Steph,” Stephanie clarified the timeline of her and Ryans’ relationship and split.

“So much of it was contrived and one of the very first things I want to tell you is during production, Ryan and I did break up,” the reality star said, explaining that they were a couple when they were cast, but broke up in mid-August 2020.

She eventually agreed to fly to Belize in October 2020, weeks after their breakup, so that the camera crew could follow along and capture the moment on camera.
