’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Evelin Ditches Corey’s Engagement Ring at the Tell-All — Are They Still Together?
TLC’s highly anticipated 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way tell-all is set to air on Monday, October 14, which means fans will finally get an update on all of their favorite couples this season — including Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas. In a sneak peek for part 1 of the tell-all, Evelin and Corey were still together but Evelin didn’t seem too excited to be engaged to Corey and she even forgot to wear the engagement ring Corey gifted her during the season finale.
When show host Shaun Robinson asked Evelin to show her hands to the camera, the Ecuador native revealed she was not wearing her engagement ring. “I forgot. I completely forgot,” Evelin said, laughing and holding her hands up to show she was not wearing her ring. “I can’t believe you’re not wearing it, Evelin, what the heck?” Corey asked and Evelin kept laughing. “I am so sorry, I literally just realized it this morning and I was like, ‘Oh no.’ Sorry.”
But that isn’t the only thing Evelin is dragging her feet on. When asked about their wedding plans, Corey said he hoped they would be married within the next six months, and Evelin didn’t seem too convinced that would happen. “I hope. I don’t know. How are we supposed to plan a wedding and things need to be figured out in such a short time,” Evelin said. Corey revealed Evelin set some goals for him to achieve before they could tie the knot which included learning Spanish, talking more with her family so he’s more immersed in their culture and losing weight. Evelin said Corey has not started working toward any of the goals she set for him.
The tell-all was filmed about two months ago, and even though Corey and Evelin were still together when it was filmed, a lot has changed since then. As In Touch previously reported on October 3, Evelin seemed to confirm split rumors between her and Corey when she went on Instagram Live and claimed he was in Las Vegas and had gone on a date with their recently single 90 Day Fiancé franchise costar Larissa Dos Santos Lima.
“Corey is hanging out with Larissa right now, as all of you can see,” Evelin said. “And it makes me a little upset. … That’s not just a picture with a cast member. That is a date, basically. It’s messed up.”
Evelin’s comments sparked a social media feud with Larissa, and the ladies went back and forth on Instagram while taking jabs at each other until Corey decided to clear the air and profess his love for Evelin. “Evelin I love you from the bottom of my heart I always will! You are the world’s most beautiful and amazing woman I could ever ask for,” he wrote on Instagram. “For those of you wondering about me and Larissa. We met up as friends, that’s how it is. For those saying anything more about that subject are wrong and creating rumors. Just like how I met up with David [Toborowsky] and Annie [Suwan], same scenario. Evelin is my world. I’m attracted to Evelin, not to her. She deserves the best and I love her with all my heart.”
According to social media, Evelin is still in Ecuador while Corey is traveling throughout the United States, but it seems like there may be hope that they can work through whatever issues they’re still dealing with in their relationship.
