‘90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee Suffer Miscarriage: ‘We Are Heartbroken’

I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love,” Deavan began a lengthy caption to accompany a photo of an ultrasound. “With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby. We are heartbroken and focusing on healing.

She continued by explaining why they kept their fans in the dark. “I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. But we needed this time to heal as a family. A lot of people go through this and we feel for so many people and wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing,” the reality starlet explained.

“We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time,” she added.

Rumors about Deavan’s pregnancy started swirling last month after a social media user claimed they saw a post from the Utah native in a private Facebook Group for Korean residents.

In a screenshot of the alleged post, Deavan asked her fellow group members for advice about health insurance in Korea, explaining that she was pregnant and the health insurance policy she has did not cover her internationally. She asked how much prenatal and labor/delivery care would cost, and she also allegedly claimed she was thinking about returning to her home country so that she could receive her benefits from her provider.

Shortly after the rumors broke, Deavan took to Instagram to address the alleged leak. “I was in a private Facebook group that is based in Korea with only Korean-based people so it’s sad to see my personal stuff being leaked when it’s a group I went to for advice on life in Korea. Just shows you can’t even trust people even if it’s not even in your home country,” she wrote in a since-deleted message on her Instagram, according to a screenshot obtained by blogger John Yates.

Deavan added, “Please, out of respect, stop messaging me and asking me. I’m not going to speak about it. I trusted this group and it was my safe space for a long time. I know the person who did it and it saddens me that they did this. But I’m leaving it at that. I need time and I haven’t even told family because of how early it is, so stop messaging me about this topic.”

On October 1, Deavan publicly addressed her pregnancy rumors in an exclusive statement to In Touch.

“Rumors spread like wild fire in this industry,” Deavan, 22, wrote exclusively to In Touch on Monday, September 30. “As many know I had two very hard complicated pregnancies already. And due to my medical problems I wish to not speak upon these rumors. I can’t confirm or deny these rumors but can ask fans to continue to watch the show.”

Even though Deavan refrained from confirming her pregnancy, sources exclusively revealed to In Touch that she was pregnant, but she was experiencing complications.

She had been “struggling with a lot of issues from her previous pregnancy,” and she was really trying to “focus on her health and recovery” at the time.

This would have been Deavan’s third child and her second with her husband, Jihoon.

The couple was first introduced to fans on season 1 of the hit TLC reality TV spinoff, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. They documented their journey as Deavan moved from Utah to Korea to be with Jihoon while she was pregnant with their first child together. They also documented Deavan’s pregnancy and delivery of their son, Taeyang, six months.

Deavan is also a mom to 3-year-old daughter, Drascilla, from a previous relationship.
