A rollercoaster of emotions. Jenny Slatten and her long-distance love, Sumit, have been one of the most talked-about duos on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. How Did They Meet?

 The pair met via Facebook and he didn’t reveal his identity at first. When they grew closer, he shared the truth about who he really is with the California native. She later planned a trip to meet him, flying all the way to India from Palm Springs to spend time with him in person. The duo had a 30-year age gap, so they were met with some criticism from their loved ones who questioned if they were going to last.

What Happened Last Season?

 She found out he was already married to another woman on a September 2019 episode. This surprising revelation about his arranged marriage came after Jenny left everything behind in the United States to move to India to be with him. It caused further turmoil in their relationship when Jenny was confronted by Sumit’s wife, as well as his father-in-law, mother and their whole family.

Did He Choose to Stay With His Wife? 

Sumit announced he was getting a divorce from his wife during a tell-all segment which aired on October 21. “Yeah, we are separated,” he said in an update about their status. “And she already filed a case against me.”

How Did Jenny React to This News?

The reality star hinted she was ready to take their romance to the next level when he is legally single. “That’s our plan,” Jenny shared at the time, revealing she was considering relocating to India when his divorce is finalized. “We love each other so much and we’re still together and we plan on being together,” she added. “But I’m not gonna wait forever.”

What’s the Latest Update?

Jenny opened up about her decision to return to Palm Springs last season in a May interview, noting viewers will see her head back to India this time around. 

“Of course I did leave India because I had to for two reasons: you know the first reason, and the second reason was because of my visa,” she told TV Insider. “Our relationship never ended. We never broke up.”

“I knew he was going to get his divorce so I just went back and waited for that to happen,” the TV personality continued. “So that’s pretty much what I was waiting on, for him to get his divorce. We’ve always loved each other very much.”

Season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premieres at 9/8c on June 8.
