The truth about Jenny and Sumit‘s relationship was finally revealed on the September 17 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Jenny learned about the big secret that her boyfriend, Sumit, had been keeping from her: he was already married to another woman when she left everything behind in the United States to move to India to be with him. As if that wasn’t shocking enough, Jenny was confronted by not only Sumit’s wife, but Sumit’s father-in-law, Sumit’s mother, and their whole family.

Jenny, 60, explained that Sumit’s parents had entered him into an arranged marriage about two years or two and a half years ago — which means Sumit’s wedding took place sometime during his seven-year relationship with Jenny. But Sumit, 30, doesn’t want to be married to the woman his parents chose for him, and fans finally learned the true reason why Sumit moved to a different city with Jenny to hide their relationship from his family.

Both Jenny and Sumit’s wife quickly learned that he had been living a double life. During the episode, Jenny said that Sumit told her he had to leave to visit his parent’s house. After his stay, Sumit returned back to the apartment he shared with Jenny the morning of the incident. Shortly after he arrived, his phone started ringing. Sumit told Jenny to lock their front door while he went downstairs. Jenny thought Sumit’s father was waiting downstairs, but she could not have been more wrong.

Just a few minutes later, there was a knock on her front door. When Jenny opened the door, she saw Sumit standing there with his father-in-law.

“Hello Jenny, how are you? I’m Sumit’s wife’s father. He’s married to my daughter [for] the last two years,” Sumit’s father-in-law told Jenny. “He’s married to my daughter.”

Jenny could not believe what was happening, and she said she did not know what to do or how to react. Sumit’s father-in-law told her that he called his family and Sumit’s family and both families were on their way to the apartment because they wanted to meet her.

Jenny was scared, so she immediately ran into her bedroom while Sumit stayed in their living room and tried to convince his father-in-law that nothing was going on between him and Jenny. All of a sudden, she heard a loud crash coming from the living room and when she went to see what happened, the rest of Sumit’s family was there — including Sumit’s wife — and Sumit’s mom took his shrine and smashed it on the floor.

The reality star then described what she saw when she ran out into the living room: all of Sumit’s family members were standing in a circle, Sumit was pushed up against a wall with his fists up in a fighting stance, and he was being held back by one of his cousins. Jenny then tried to grab Sumit and pull him back into their bedroom — and that’s when Jenny came face to face with his mother.

“His mom grabbed him, and his mom looked at me like if looks could kill, I probably would’ve dropped dead at that moment. She was like this with me,” Jenny said, pointing her pointer finger toward the camera. “Like, ‘You’d better get back.’ So I backed up.”

Jenny was worried that Sumit’s mother was going to hurt or harm him but she was so scared and she didn’t know how to help him. “His father-in-law, he filed a complaint with the police and he took Sumit’s ID and his passport and everything, they just took it all and then they were leaving and they took him. They took Sumit, they took him away from here and I haven’t seen him since,” Jenny said, breaking down in tears. “This is a nightmare. Why is this happening? I gave up everything, I came to India [to be] with him.”

While Jenny told her daughters she wasn’t sure about the fate of her relationship with Sumit, it sounds like he isn’t ready to give up on their love. “I’d rather be in jail instead of being in [the] marriage which I am in. I want to live with Jenny,” Sumit said in a clip for next week’s episode. It looks like fans will just have to tune in to find out what happens next for Jenny and Sumit!
