Quality time with the kids. Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans has been keeping a low profile on social media in the weeks after her split from her husband, David Eason — except, of course, for the occasional shady Facebook meme. On Saturday, November 23, the 27-year-old took to Twitter to share some cute snaps of her son Kaiser and her daughter, Ensley, playing together for the first time since she announced she left David, 30, and took the kids with her.

“She loves her Bubba,” Jenelle captioned a set of two photos while adding a smiley face emoji and a red kiss mark emoji. In the photo, little Ensley, 2, sat on top of a ride toy and leaned her head on top of Kaiser’s as he cuddled up close to his baby sister. In the second, Kaiser, 5, smiled for the camera as Ensley planted a sweet little kiss on his head.

Fans flooded Jenelle’s mentions, and for once, most of their comments seemed very positive. “Your kiddos look really happy. So glad u [sic] changed your life …” one fan wrote, “Wow Jenelle, your kids look so happy. I hope you look just as happy. Hope to see you back on the show soon, it hasn’t been the same without you. Keep your [chin] up. I wish you and your kids all the happiness in the world. You all deserve it.”

Jenelle’s post comes just two days after David shared a throwback video clip of Ensley on his Instagram page. “I miss my baby more than she could ever imagine and I know she misses me too! I would give anything to take her hunting again right now!” he captioned the clip.

The former MTV star dealt with a lot of backlash in the fallout after her now-estranged husband, David, shot and killed their French bulldog back in April. The results of the scandal led to Jenelle’s future at MTV being placed on pause after the network stopped filming with her, and it also led to a nasty custody battle with CPS. Jenelle and David share five children — Jenelle shares son Jace, 10, with her ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis and son Kaiser with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith, while David has 12-year-old daughter Maryssa and 6-year-old son Kaden from previous relationships. Together, Jenelle and David share Ensley.

Since they only had custody of Ensley, Maryssa and Kaiser, those three children were removed from the home as the result of a CPS investigation in May. But by July, Jenelle and David regained custody of all three kids. That same month, Jenelle revealed she thought the entire ordeal had made them “stronger” as a couple.

But on October 31, Jenelle announced her split from David via a statement on Instagram. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty, but it’s been my life. Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids, and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently, and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she wrote. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end, but I know that’s what is best for me and for my kids. Today, I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
