Over summer 2019, Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith were at each other’s throats, but now it seems the parents have managed to put their drama behind them. After their contentious custody battle, the two Teen Mom 2 alumni shared on Twitter that they’re “finally” back on the same page. The news came on Thursday, November 21, just a few weeks after Jenelle revealed that she plans to divorce her estranged husband, David Eason.

Nathan, 32, was the first to make the announcement. “It’s sad how bitter people deflect negative attention to cover up their own insecurities. Hoping to justify their actions by the finding comfort in the approval of others,” he wrote. “I am so appreciative to finally have a healthy relationship with [Jenelle]. Something we should of had [three to four] years ago. Especially one that everyone is supportive with. Thank you, [Ashley Lanhardt], for being so understanding.” Jenelle, 27, weighed in next. After retweeting Nathan’s post, she added, “Thank you for being there for Kaiser and helping out lately.”

Fans were wary of the reunion, however. “MTV money running out???” one commented in response to the father’s post. “She’s still the common denominator in all the problems, so proceed with caution,” warned another. However, others had hope that the parents really had put the drama behind them in favor of being the best parents they could be for Kaiser, 5. “That is what coparenting is really about!” a fan responded. “The ability to put aside your own differences/disagreements to better focus on a child’s needs and wants is a beautiful thing! I hope it continues!”

Just a few months earlier, the MTV stars were taking aim at each other after duking it out in the courts. After regaining custody of Kaiser and her daughter, Ensley, in July, Jenelle told fans that the two kids were “happy as can be” to be back home. “One of the hardest issues of my life consists of dealing with the most immature people that cannot coparent,” she continued on July 8 on Twitter. “I was trying not to say a damn thing too #SorryNotSorry.”

When a fan asked if Nathan and Ashley had been invited to visit the Eason’s land to see Kaiser at his mom’s, she added that there was a “damn good reason” why she hadn’t. “As soon as Kaiser’s party was over, Ashley had to go tweet some s–t about David, but [she was] all nice to his face,” she wrote. “[I] don’t trust her at all.”
