She’s still adjusting. Meri Brown admitted on Instagram that she’s still getting used to her family’s new location of Flagstaff, Arizona, and that she still desperately misses Las Vegas, where they lived for many years. She revealed on April 26, “Yesterday I had this overwhelming emotion of missing Las Vegas, the place I called home for nearly 8 years. I mean, I was really really sad for not living there anymore. So much life there, so many friends. It was home for me. I loved it.” Poor Meri.

The Sister Wives star, 48, continued, “Then this morning I wake up, sun is shining, beautiful day, I mean, my back yard is the mountains for [heaven’s] sake! How could I not love this?? Though I’m new here to Flagstaff and it doesn’t feel like home yet, I look forward to this summer, exploring the city, the amazing nature that surrounds me, and of course meeting new people, trustworthy friends. There’s a lot of life ahead of me here, and I’m anxious to see where it takes me. 🌞🌞🌞.”

Sister Wives fans may recall that Meri wasn’t super excited about the move in the first place, because she liked the faster pace of Vegas and had made friends there. And she wasn’t the only one in the family to fight the move — Janelle Brown’s son, Gabriel, truly struggled with it as well.

Gabe really established himself in school in Nevada and was happy with the connections he made there and was reluctant to leave. Fans watched as the whole family grappled with their decision to move in season 13 of the TLC show, but it wasn’t hard to see that some people had a more difficult time than others.

As for the post that Meri made, fans in the comments were mostly happy for her that she’s found some measure of peace in Flagstaff. “You can always come visit Vegas and it’ll always welcome you home 😊 but you’re right … that’s one heck of a view! ❤️” one fan wrote. Another replied to Meri, “I truly hope you find happiness in Flagstaff, you deserve it! ❤️” Hopefully, the longer the Browns are in Flagstaff — and maybe in one house eventually? — the more it feels like home.
