She’s going it alone! After her Sister Wives family refused to help her out with her inn, Meri Brown decided she wasn’t going to let anything hold her back. On the recent season premiere of the TLC show, Meri talked with her family about getting enough money together to buy back a home her family had built in Utah. She wanted to take the house her great-great-grandparents built and transform it into a bed and breakfast. But when Kody Brown said he and the other wives couldn’t afford to fork up any money for the down payment, she decided to do it all herself. Watch the video above to see just how successful her Inn is and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

Now, Radar Online reports that she’s kind of killing it, too. According to them, Meri, 48, is the only registered owner of the business through the State of Utah’s Department of Commerce. When she said she’d do it alone, she meant alone. And now her B&B, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, has been voted Utah’s Official Best Country Inn and has even received four out of five stars on travel sites like TripAdvisor and Expedia. How’s that for making things happen? Of course, this isn’t Meri’s only side hustle. Her (controversial) LulaRoe business is what gave her the experience — not to mention the money — to take on a project like this.

Her success comes on the heels of Kody shading her on the show. When he and his other wives were planning to invest financially, he asked, “Because we’re going to be investors in that business, we’re going to be the board of directors on it and we get to tell you how to run it?” But Meri quickly shut that whole ish down. “No, not at all,” she told him. In her confessional, she continued, “This is my baby. They don’t care about the house or the bed and breakfast business. Once I get this house done, I don’t want to have any more business meetings about my house. I want to run my business my way.”

And we couldn’t be prouder to see how well it’s going! After that whole catfishing scandal and all the rumors that she was finally leaving Kody, she needed something to go her way. And, TBH, the house is gorgeous. We just may have to make the trip.
