She’s gaining a husband and a sister wife! Seeking Sister Wife stars Dimitri Snowden and Ashley Snowden documented their second attempt at finding a sister wife on season 2 of the hit TLC reality TV series, and it looks like they finally met their match. After six months of courting, Dimitri popped the question to Vanessa Cobbs during a beautiful beach proposal — that Ashley helped plan.

“She said yes!!!!!!” Dimitri, 38, wrote in his engagement announcement on Instagram. Vanessa also announced their engagement on Instagram, “This was a perfect day 🥰✨❤️ I love my song @icanctru and @dimitrisnowden! 🤗❤️.”

The lead up to Dimitri and Vanessa’s engagement was a big part of the Snowden family’s storyline on the March 31 episode of Seeking Sister Wife. After Vanessa and Dimitri were courting for about six months — and after they got intimate with each other — Dimitri decided that it was time to take the next step. Dimitri’s first wife, 32-year-old Ashley, agreed and after Vanessa’s mother JoJo gave Dimitri her blessing, Dimitri and Ashley started to make plans for Vanessa’s proposal.

Since music is a big part of the Snowden family’s lifestyle, Dimitri wanted to convey his feelings for Vanessa in a song. He enlisted the help of his pal, rapper and singer/songwriter C-Tru, to write a song for Vanessa which he would also perform during her proposal.

Dimitri, Ashley and Vanessa headed out for a day at the beach and while they were enjoying their conversation together, C-Tru walked up behind Vanessa and started performing her song. During the performance, Dimitri started to dance with Vanessa while Ashley joined in on backup vocals.

After the performance, C-Tru handed Dimitri a jewelry box and he got down on one knee. “My sweet love. I don’t have a lot of words to wrap around what I’m feeling which is why I have these guys to help me. But you’re a wonderful sister wife to Ashley, you’re a wonderful mommy to the children and obviously perfect for me. I’m happy that you’re a part of my life and I wanted to make you understand how much I love you. So with that, will you marry me?” Dimitri said, and of course, Vanessa said yes. Congrats to the Snowdens!
