On Friday, March 15, Seeking Sister Wife stars Bernie and Paige McGee were arrested in Mississippi on stalking charges, In Touch can confirm. The TLC couple was released from jail only a few hours after they were transferred in and booked.

“A family member went (court record shows “Patrick Marble/Nicki Smith”) to the Justice Court and filed an affidavit against them for stalking. The judge issued a warrant to get them,” Sheriff Randy Johnson from Jasper County Sheriff’s Office tells In Touch in a statement. Paige’s brother, Patrick, reportedly accused the couple of stalking him and his girlfriend by leaving harassing calls on his home, cell and work phones. Patrick and his girlfriend both reportedly “fear for their lives.”

“We picked them up in Rankin County to take them to our facility and book them. They were only in jail for a couple hours,” the official statement continued. “They were released on bond — $250 each. It’s a misdemeanor, it’s not a serious felony crime. They’re next scheduled to appear in court on April 3.”

Prior to the stalking charges, Marble took to Twitter last month to call out Paige for allegedly attacking a fan who has a child with Down Syndrome, after they posted pictures of her grandchildren. “Paige enjoys playing the victim and having people feel sorry for her,” Marble tweeted in response to a fan about the post. “She’s found the perfect format to facilitate this.”

The McGees were first introduced to viewers during the show’s second season. As fans know, the TLC series about polygamous relationships explores “the lives of four families all in various phases of seeking, dating or transitioning a new sister wife into their lives.” It shows couples as they “date in person and explore the ins and outs of incorporating a new wife into their plural families.”

In Touch reached out to TLC, Bernie and Paige for comment, but did not get a response by the time of publication.
