After his scary health crisis earlier this year, James King is doing his best to stay strong and the GoFundMe page started in his name reportedly remains active. It also features the most recent photo of the My 600-lb Life star, giving two thumbs ups while posing for the camera.

According to Starcasm, James’ GoFundMe page has raised $170 of its $8,000 goal. “Many of you know that our company (Physical Therapy International) has been working with James and his fiancée,” the bio reads. “James and Lisa moved to Houston from Kentucky to receive help and to have the LapBand surgery from the show. We are currently looking for help from the community to purchase a Bariatric Trapeze, medical supplies, funds to assist in rent and funds for groceries.”

In January, James was reportedly “clinging to life” after being admitted to the hospital due to a series of health issues including sepsis, cirrhosis and kidney failure. “James is hanging in there,” the former TLC star’s father Donald told Radar at the time, noting how James was also suffering from high blood pressure and infection. “He just got out of the ICU.”

Shortly before that, fans were given an update on James’ Facebook page, which was allegedly run by his fiancée. “James is in ICU having a hard time finding what’s wrong with him,” the post read. “Lots of swelling and gained lots of fluid weight. Please, we welcome any and all prayers.”

James appeared on the hit reality show in 2017 and was the heaviest star of the franchise at 790 pounds. Viewers became especially connected to James after a heartbreaking episode showed his father refinancing his home to get James to a doctor in Houston. When James was unfortunately denied weight loss surgery, he reportedly went up to 840 pounds. We’re wishing him all the best!
