Amicable Exes! ‘LPBW’ Star Matt Roloff Congratulates Amy on Engagement to Chris Marek
No hard feelings? Matt Roloff congratulated his ex, Amy Roloff, on her engagement to boyfriend Chris Marek, and although it was sort of buried in the caption of an unrelated post, we still think it was classy of him to give her a shout-out. “My buddy Ty and I got together for our regular Saturday morning breakfast today,” Matt wrote on a photo he shared of himself and his friend. “He doesn’t do social media … so I filled him in on Amy’s exciting engagement news. Congratulations to Amy and Chris!!”
Amy, 55, got engaged to Chris on September 18, just one night after she celebrated her birthday. The couple confirmed the news to People on September 20. “I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled!” the Little People, Big World mom said. “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.” Chris added, “I was very nervous! It had to be a heart-shaped diamond because I knew that’s what Amy wanted.”
Amy also showed off her engagement ring on Instagram on September 20. “Hi, everyone!” the reality star said on her Story. “I have some great, great, exciting news to share. That I wanted to share with you. Some of you may have already heard, but, I’m engaged!” She added text graphics that said “Guess what? I’m engaged!” and “Best day ever!” just for good measure.
“Chris asked me to marry him and of course I said yes,” she said. “We’ve been dating for three years now, just celebrated our third year, quote, anniversary, and that’s when he asked me to marry him. I was so surprised. So shocked. I am so, so very happy. He’s an awesome guy. I love him to death. And I’m so looking forward to this new journey of us. Together. So anyway! I’m engaged! I’m happy. Thank you all, so, so much.”
Fans in Matt’s comments were very impressed with the kind message to his ex-wife, whom he filed for divorced from in 2015 after 27 years of marriage. “You both deserve every happiness — lovely to see you wishing Amy and Chris best wishes!” one fan wrote. “You will always be family as you shared many wonderful years and your beautiful children. Although you may have grown apart these still bind you together. Wishing you and Caryn happiness too 😊🇦🇺.” Matt responded to that with, “Very, very sweet of you to say! Thanks.” What do you think of his Instagram congrats to his former wife?
