Yikes, this will definitely raise some eyebrows. Caryn Chandler shared a cute picture of herself and her boyfriend, Matt Roloff, enjoying a meal on Instagram on August 10, and at first, fans seemed to love it. “Dinner in Bend, Oregon on a quick road trip and getaway,” she began the caption. “Never mind those pesky summer thunderstorms ☔️🙄.” But then one follower wrote in her comments, “Watch out I see Amy looking through the window.” That wouldn’t be the first time someone joked about Matt’s ex Amy Roloff on social media, but this time, Caryn responded to it.

Caryn simply replied, “😳,” to the snarky remark, but fans definitely took notice. “Yikes, no response to that would have been classy move,” one person wrote back to her. But another follower who is seemingly on Amy’s side joked, “Yeah she’s saying ‘thank god he’s someone else’s problem.'” Oof.

Like most exes, Matt, 57, and Amy, 54, don’t always get along, and things can get awkward for their respective new partners. In fact, Amy has made it pretty clear in the past that she’s definitely not Caryn’s biggest fan. In fact, during a previous season of Little People, Big World, when Amy learned that Matt was bringing Caryn to their daughter-in-law Tori Roloff‘s gender reveal party, she said, “Seeing Caryn here threw me for a loop more than I would have liked. I think coming here to this particular event is an intimate family thing … It just throws a whole different dynamic to my life here on the farm.”

More recently, in a resurfaced Facebook Live video recorded on March 31, Amy claimed that Matt got involved with his girlfriend while the two of them were still married. “I think that’s what hurt and unfortunately may have — through an edited show — caused me to be a little bitter, may have come across as me being a little more angry. I’ll be honest,” she said. “I’ll be frank, it was tough.” We can see how having that perception would make things really awkward for both women, whether there’s truth to the allegations or not.

Do you think it was inappropriate for Caryn to address a negative comment on social media about her boyfriend’s ex in such a way, even with just a silly emoji?
