They’ve got a couple of authors in the family now! Amy Roloff announced that pre-orders for her new book, A Little Me, were available starting April 1, via an Instagram post. Interestingly enough, her son, Jeremy Roloff, and his wife, Audrey Roloff, released their new book just one day later, on April 2. Uh oh! But no worries — there’s no bad blood between this mom and son. The dates seem to be just a coincidence.

“My big announcement — my book is finally here and ready for you to pre-order Amy Roloff A Little Me,” Amy, 54, wrote on her Instagram. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. So much of me is in this book. It’s sometimes raw, funny, real and definitely vulnerable. A glimpse into my life growing up to now and the challenges I’ve faced and [overcome]. I wanted to share it with you and can’t wait for you to read it.”

Most people in the comments were very excited for the Little People, Big World star — although a few were hoping for an announcement that she and her boyfriend, Chris Marek, were engaged instead! However, there were a couple of party-poopers who rained on Amy’s parade by mentioning Jeremy’s book versus hers in a negative way. “How could you release that right now with @jeremyroloff and @audreyroloff launching their book today,” one person wrote. “Random both you and your son coming out with books days apart! You couldn’t wait a month?” another replied.

But one person was more enthusiastic about the timing than ready to slam Amy for it. “How cool that you and your son (and daughter in law) are both releasing a book!” a fan wrote. Amy replied, “Thank you so much, I’m so proud of them. Tomorrow you’ll be able to physically get their book and online. Check it out. www.aloveletterlife.com. Two different stories with a lot of work, love and thought put into it.”

One of Amy’s fans had just about enough of the negativity and clapped back at the haters, “Who cares if the entire family is writing books? They are all living independent lives. And who knows you may find something in Amy’s book that resonates with you.” That’s a fair point! Are you going to check out Amy’s newest project?
