Sometimes the day after Christmas can be a bit of a bummer. Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff revealed on Twitter that she was “sad” just a day after the holiday, and honestly, we get it. There’s so much anticipation around the holiday and then it’s just…over.

Amy wrote on Twitter on Dec. 26, “Im kind of sad- no more Christmas carols- the anticipation of Christmas Day came and went- the opening of gifts, the gathering with family made for a memory to keep in my heart- the happy part- the gift of Christmas- Jesus is not just for a day but all year long❤️.” So at least there was some happiness mixed into her message as well! And of course, New Year’s Eve is just around the corner.

Amy also shared another holiday tradition for her family in addition to the gift-opening and coming together aspect of the day. On Twitter, she wrote several hours after that “sad” post, “This has been our tradition during the holidays. Doing a puzzle. This has been one of the hardest but oh so much fun putting this 1000 piece together. Getting there 😊.” She also included an image of someone — possibly her partner, Chris Marek — working on the puzzle, which does indeed look like kind of a tough task!

As much as the day after Christmas can be a bit of a let-down, hopefully, the holiday itself was a great one for Amy. We really hope she got to spend some time with her adorable grandbabies, Jackson Roloff and his cousin, Ember, who are easily some of the cutest toddler cousins out there. Jackson’s mom, Tori Roloff, shared a photo of the babies spending time together on Christmas Eve, so maybe the rest of the Roloff family got together for the occasion as well.

And if not, there’s always next year! Amy should have plenty of Christmases with her grandkids to look forward to and honestly, we’re a little jealous. Who wouldn’t want to see Jackson excitedly opening all those gifts on Christmas morning?!
