We’re pretty much all in agreement that Lawson Bates is the hottest male fundie we know, whether you’re looking at the Bates, the Duggars, or any of the other less famous families. So when he posts a picture holding a cute puppy or a sweet baby, yeah, we basically lose our minds. Now, the singer/songwriter has a new nephew — his ninth! — thanks to Tori Bates and Bobby Smith, and the pictures are straight-up unreal. The hunky reality star holding a tiny little baby? We literally can’t even. Watch the video above to check out the photos, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

Lawson isn’t the only one excited about his new nephew, though. The first-time parents are also pretty psyched about having a little one of their own. “Welcoming Baby Kade into this world has truly been the most surreal experience to walk through together,” Tori Bates and her husband told People. “Every moment with him just seems to glue this new family together, and we are so excited about the future we know God has in store for his life.”

They also welcomed their son with his first official Instagram post. “There is absolutely no way to express how amazing it is to hold your baby so close and feel the deepest love that you’ve ever experienced in the very core of your heart and soul,” the captioned an album of photos of their little guy, whose full name is Robert Ellis Smith IV. “An entirely new kind of love and compassion springs from each of us to each other and overflows into our new baby boy. Welcome to the world, little Kade — we can’t wait to live every moment with you.”

So why are they calling him Kade when his real name is Robert? Well, when you’ve got four Roberts in the family, nicknames are a must. As for why “Kade” specifically, well, the Bates family blog explains that it’s Latin for “fourth generation.” At least, that’s what Bobby says! Either way, it’s a pretty cute moniker — and the baby it belongs to is pretty cute, too. On that note, so is his uncle! Think we’ll get more pictures of the two soon? We’re crossing our fingers for sure.
