He’s Here! Tori Bates And Her Husband Bobby Smith Welcome Baby No. 1
He’s here! Congrats are in order for Tori Bates, now Tori Smith, and her husband, Bobby. The happy couple — who tied the knot less than a year ago — welcomed their first child together over the weekend.
The Bringing up Bates star gave birth to a son named Robert Ellis Smith IV, whom they will call Kade, on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7:45 a.m. at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Kade was born weighing 6 lbs. and 1 oz and is 18 inches long.
“Welcoming Baby Kade into this world has truly been the most surreal experience to walk through together,” the happy couple told People. “Every moment with him just seems to glue this new family together, and we are so excited about the future we know God has in store for his life.”
The newlyweds announced the exciting news back in May with a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “We’re having a baby boy!” the 22-year-old told ET at the time. “We are beyond excited!”
In fact, they had his name picked out for a while. “We decided on Robert Ellis Smith IV for his name, but we will call him Kade. This little one has already changed our lives for the better and is so loved. We cannot wait to meet him! Thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown us. We are truly blessed.”
Tori and Bobby met after they were introduced by a mutual friend in 2015. They started courting — dating with the intention of marriage — the following year. The couple said “I do” in front of 700 people on Dec. 16 — and their good pals, the Duggars, were in attendance. Congrats again to the happy couple — he’s precious!
