Lamar Odom Says He Slept With Over 2,000 Women: ‘There Were Too Many Strippers to Count’
TMI? Lamar Odom is spilling all of his dark secrets in his new memoir, and he even revealed he has had sex with a lot of women in his life. Like, a lot.
“I have been obsessed with sex for as long as I can remember. I am a sex addict — I’ve had sex with more than 2,000 women,” the 39-year-old wrote in his new book, Darkness to Light. “There were too many strippers to count. It wasn’t a big deal, but often I would pay them. I never thought less of them.”
The basketball player had a third child with Liza Morales — his first love — in 2005, but the little baby boy died at six months old after he fell victim to sudden infant death syndrome. So, the dad of two turned to sex and drugs to help him cope.
“My sex addiction and my cocaine addiction go hand in hand. The first time I tried cocaine was in 2004,” he confessed. “The rush was like nothing I’d felt before. I was a drug addict plain and simple. The first time I overdosed, I came within minutes of dying.”
The athlete found love with Khloé Kardashian in 2009, but it didn’t last due to his infidelity and drug addiction. At first, the KUWTK starlet filed for divorce in December 2013, but following the news of his near-fatal overdose in October 2015, she decided to withdraw the papers. Ultimately, the 34-year-old filed for divorce a second time in May 2016.
“At the start of our marriage, I was unfaithful to her,” he wrote. “But my cocaine use spiked in the summer of 2011. I could not handle the lethal cocktail of the spotlight, addiction, a diminishing career and infidelity. Oh, did I mention the paranoia, anxiety, depression.”
Even though Lamar wasn’t the best husband to Khloé at the time, she still supported him by visiting him in the hospital after he was found unconscious at a Las Vegas brothel. “Khloé never left my side. She didn’t shower for days. Kim [Kardashian’s] resiliency was incredible too. They put chairs together for her to sleep across at night,” he revealed. On October 16, I opened my eyes for the first time in 48 hours. From the darkness to the light.”
Lamar admitted he is “still an addict,” but he is still trying to work on himself.
